Santa to the Rescue

Light – flight

The – then

On - own

Is - his

Hen - when

Right – bright

It was a frosty and snowy Christmas Eve and Santa and his elves were preparing for the big day.  They were getting all the beautifully wrapped presents into the gigantic sack.  When they were all finished, Santa climbed into his sleigh and the elves checked on the reindeer.  Everything was ready so they set off on their flight.

Santa was looking down at the world below and he noticed all the Christmas decorations and bright lights in the gardens.  Everything was going great but then Santa saw a child on their own, running down a street.  So Santa flew down to see what was wrong.  The little boy was shocked and he could barely speak but he said slowly “Santa….?”

“Yes, my boy, it’s me.  Why are you out alone at this time of night?”

The boy explained that he had gone to buy his mother a Christmas gift but all the shops were shut!  Santa came up with a brilliant idea:  he would give him a gift from the gigantic sack because he always had spares.  The little boy was so happy that he gave Santa a hug.  Then the little boy skipped down the street with joy.

Santa set off on his way and delivered all of the gifts.  On his way back to the North Pole he stopped off at the little boy’s house.  He peered in the window and saw a very happy mum with a very happy son.

Jayden the Brave

our – tour

man – mean

might – mighty

gran – grand

and – land

night – knight

Once upon a time in a kingdom far, far away there was a mighty man called Jayden.  He travelled far and wide and went on a tour.  He ended up in a place called Easterville.

When he arrived he encountered a mean witch who tried to put a spell on him.  Jayden used his shield to block the spell and ran away from that terrible land.

Running through the woods he saw a grand tree house, there lived an ogre.  He was green with a pointy noise and his teeth were crooked.  The ogre was hungry and thought Jayden was his dinner.  The ogre shouted

“I’M HUNGRY AND YOU LOOK DELICIOUS!!!”

Jayden pulled out his packed lunch box and fed the ogre a sandwich.  The ogre was happy and Jayden set on his way again.

As the sun set and the moon came up Jayden saw a knight in shining armour.  His armour was so shiny it nearly turned the night into day.  The knight was riding past on his horse and asked Jayden where he was going.

“I’m going back to my village called Bennyville”.

“Well I’m going there too!”

“Hop on and I’ll take you there”

“Thank you kind sir”

As they set off Jayden thought about his wonderful day.  He met a witch, an ogre and a knight.  Nothing out of the ordinary he thought and he lived happily ever after.

The end

The Mighty Tour of Hawaii

Might -mighty

Our -tour

And -land

Gran -grand

Man - mean

At - eat

It was the morning of our holiday and we were all excited.  We had to get to the airport early, we rushed and we managed to get on the flight.  It was very noisy on the plane and people kept getting out of their seats.  Finally, the plane landed safely and I was looking forward to the mighty tour.

We booked into a hotel called the land of Hawaii but it wasn’t as grand as we thought.  Our rooms were ordinary but nothing special.  We rested as we knew we had a lot to do the next day.

The next morning we went to the beach to have a swim.  It was very warm and you could see fish swimming in the sea.  Everyone was having a fantastic time and then SUDDENLY!!!!!

“SHARK……………..”

Everyone started to swim to shore then we saw one of my friends laughing.  We realised it was a prank!  He had pretended to see a shark as he thought it would be funny.  Everyone was mad at him and thought he was mean!

Payback was coming his way.  We enjoyed the rest of our holiday and set off to the airport to fly home.  At the airport we all sat down to eat dinner.  We had lots to eat and drink and our stomachs were full.  One by one we all left to go to the toilet until only one person was left.  The prankster!!! He had to pay the bill!  Everyone was laughing and it was a perfect end to the holiday.
